SUMMER 2024 ‘POWER AND DEMOCRACY’ SEMINAR WASHINGTON D.C.

SUMMER 2024 ‘POWER AND DEMOCRACY’ SEMINAR WASHINGTON D.C.

Session 1:

Session 2:

Seminar Overview

The F.A.B. Fund ‘Power and Democracy’ program, created and taught by University of Oxford and Harvard academics, is offering an intensive and exceptional seminar on American government and political culture.

F.A.B. Fund programs uniquely combine the highest standards of academic course content alongside rigorous and wide-ranging exposure to well established and active practitioners in the political arena.  The program deliberately unites academic study with direct experience: a combination often lacking or unavailable for many students who wish to actually ‘experience their education’ and thereby deepen their knowledge.

Beyond this unique educational experience, the F.A.B. Fund is committed to cultivating civic ties between citizens from nations the world over as you will be studying with a diverse group of fellow students.  Our programs also deliberately aim at collapsing the cultural and ideological barriers between people, generating a degree of mutual understanding and respect through increased knowledge and direct contact.

Washington DC is best suited to provide this mix of ideals, ideas and experience. Our students attend morning courses taught by our F.A.B. Fund trained academics and, in the afternoon, leave the Georgetown University campuses for direct and exclusive contact with leading politicians, diplomats, party figures, scholars, journalists, military experts and public intellectuals.
